Yelp-y, scream-y and vom-up on stage-y punk tykes Be Your Own Pet have announced that they are to call this game we call rock and roll quits – well, with each other at the very least.

The Nashville-based band posted the following statement on their website:

"To all our fans, we are sad to bring you the news that our upcoming shows in the UK are going to be our last as a band. We thank you for all your love and support these past few years - it's been a blast but the time has come for the 4 of us to go our separate ways."

Which means you've got until the end of the month to see Jemina Pearl chucking herself about the stage, and maybe indulging in the occasional food fight:
