Tina Turner Saves Amy Winehouse Via YouTube Buddhism

By Rebecca Nicholson

Grab Tina Turner chantingNope, we've not just hit the random headline generator - today's Sun assures us that the reason Amy failed to turn up to her French festival show was "because she was in a state of Buddhist relaxation". The ever-reliable A.Source adds, "Amy has also been watching the interview clip of Tina Turner chanting on YouTube and she reckons it's already affecting her in a positive way."

Here is that clip:

Here's the Sun's lesson on Buddhism (after this respectful explanation: "For those of us who just have a pint when we need to unwind, that’s a form of Nicherin Daishonin Buddhism. Er, right then"):

"The mantra Nam Myoho Renge Kyo is taken from the title of the greatest teaching of the first recorded Buddha, known as Siddhartha Gautama. He lived in India around 500 years before Christ was born... Believers say they have then reached enlightenment. The same kind of feeling Amy gets most afternoons when her pals pop round with pockets full of illegal, mind-altering drugs, I presume."

Lovely. (Worryingly, they have done the PhotoShop thing that we would have done. :( )
